Introduction to Review of Lessons 91-110
We now begin our third time of review. We will review two lessons every day for the next ten days, allowing us to review all twenty recent lessons. We will observe a special format for the practice periods for these ten review days, which you are urged to follow as closely as you can.
Devote five minutes twice a day, or longer if you would prefer, to contemplating together the two recent lessons assigned. First read over the ideas and comments that are written in each day’s review exercise. Then begin to think about them quietly, letting your mind relate them to your needs, your seeming problems, and all your concerns. Place the ideas within your mind, and let it use them as it chooses. Give it faith that it will use them wisely, being helped in its decisions by the One Who gave the ideas to you.
You can trust what is in your mind that is of the Divine. In these reviews, then, have faith that the Means the Holy Spirit uses will succeed. The wisdom of your mind will come to your assistance. Give it direction at the start, and then rest in quiet faith and let it use the ideas you have given it as they were given you. You have been given them with perfect Trust and Confidence that you would use them well; with perfect Faith that you would understand their Messages and use them for yourself. Offer these ideas to your mind in that same Trust, Confidence, and Faith. It will not fail. It is the Holy Spirit’s chosen Means for your awakening. And Spirit’s Trust merits yours as well.
The benefits to you are emphasized if you devote the first five minutes of your waking day, or as close to waking as possible, to your review of both lessons for the day, and also the last five minutes of your waking day, or as close to sleeping as possible, to this review. If this cannot be done, at least try to arrange your day so you undertake one five-minute review period in the morning, and the other in the hour before you go to sleep.
The exercises to be done throughout the day are equally important, and perhaps of even greater value. There may so far have been an inclination to do the exercises and then go on to other things, without applying what you are learning in the exercises to the other things you go about in your day. As a result, your learning will have had little reinforcement, and you will not have given it the opportunity to prove its worth to you. Here is another opportunity to use your learning well, and thus to strengthen it.
In these review days we stress the need not to let your learning lie idly by between your longer morning and evening practice periods. Attempt to give the two lessons you are reviewing each day a brief but serious reflection each hour of your waking day. Review the first lesson on the hour, and the other one on the half hour, as indicated. You need not give more than just a few moments to each of these brief reflection times. Repeat the lesson assigned and allow your mind to rest a little time in silence and in peace. Then turn to other things, but try to keep the lesson with you, and let it serve to help you keep your peace throughout the day. If you become shaken, think again of the lesson you recently held in silence.
This arrangement is planned to help you form the habit of applying what you learn each day to everything you do and experience. After you briefly hold the lessons on the hour and half hour, try to keep them in awareness until the next half hour. Their Usefulness is limitless to you, and It is meant to serve you in all ways, all times and places, and whenever you need help of any kind. Try, then, to take these ideas with you in the business of the day, and make them holy, worthy of your efforts, and acceptable to the Divine and to your holy Self.
This second opportunity to apply each of these twenty ideas will bring such large advances that we will come from this time of review with learning gains so great that we will go forward with confidence firmly on more solid ground. Consider how much of this Course there is yet to learn. Remember how much you can learn now. Remember your Creator’s Need of you and yours of your Creator, as you review these Thoughts It has given to you.
Review Lessons 91 and 92
For morning and evening review:
Lesson 91. Miracles are seen in the Light of the world.
I cannot see in darkness. Let the Light of Holiness and Truth light up my mind, and let me see the Innocence within.
Lesson 92. Miracles are seen in the Light of the world, and Light and Strength are One.
I see through Strength, the Gift of the Divine to me. My weakness is the dark Its Gift dispels by giving me Its Strength to take its place.
On the hour: “Miracles are seen in the Light of the world.”
On the half hour: “Miracles are seen in the Light of the world, and Light and Strength are One.”
