I am as the Divine created me.

Today’s idea is one we have practiced before and will practice again. For this one Thought is enough to awaken you and the world, when you believe and then know that It is true. Its Truth means that you have made no changes in yourself from how you were created that have reality, nor changed the Universe so that what the Divine created was replaced by fear and misery, evil and death. If you remain as the Divine created you then fear has no meaning, evil is not real, and misery and death do not exist.

Today’s idea is therefore all you need to let complete Correction heal your mind and give you perfect Vision, which will heal all the mistakes that any mind has ever made at any time or place. It is enough to heal the past and set the future free. It is enough to let the present be accepted as it is, a perfect Holy Instant that contains all of Eternity. It is enough to let time be the Means for all the world to learn release from time, and from every change that time appears to bring as it passes.

If you remain as the Divine created you then illusions and appearances cannot replace the Truth, Wholeness cannot turn to sickness, nor can death be substitute for Life, or fear for Love. None of these dreams has occurred in Reality if you remain as the Divine created you. You need no thought but just this one to let awakening come to light the world and free it from the past. In this one Thought is all the past undone, and the present saved to quietly extend into a timeless blessed future. If you are as the Divine created you, then there has been no separation of your mind from the Divine’s, no split between your mind and other minds, and only Integration and Unity within your own.

The healing Power of today’s Idea is limitless. It is the birthplace of all miracles, the great Restorer of the Truth to the awareness of the world. Practice today’s Idea with gratitude. This is the Truth that comes to set you free. This is the Truth that the Divine has promised you. This is the Word of Truth and Love in which all sorrow ends.

Begin each hourly five-minute practice period today with these holy words:

“I am as the Divine created me. Its Children can suffer nothing. And I am Its Child.”

Then, with this Truth firmly in your mind, try to discover in your mind the Self Who is the holy Child of the Divine Itself. Seek That within you Who is Divine Essence in you, the perfect Creation and Friend to the world. Seek That Which is forever safe, with Power to heal and awaken whoever touches It, however lightly, asking for the Word that tells them they are sister and brother unto It.

You are as the Divine created you. Today honor your holy Self. Let graven images you made to be the Children of the Divine instead of what they truly are be let go of today. Deep in your mind the holy Innocence in you is waiting your acknowledgment, as you. And you will feel lost and will not know yourself while your Self is unacknowledged and unknown. Seek your holy Self today, and you will find It. It will be your awakening from all images and idols you have made. For when you find It you will understand how worthless are your idols, and how false the self images that you believed were you. Today we achieve a great advance to Truth by letting go our idols and images, and opening our hands and hearts and minds to the Divine.

We will remember with thankful hearts throughout the day that we are as the Divine created us, and with loving thoughts for all we meet today, for it is thus that we remember our holy Self. And we will say, that we may be reminded of our reality and of our Self, the Divine Essence in each of us:

“I am as the Divine created me. Its Children can suffer nothing. And we are Its Children.”

Let us declare this Truth as often as we can. This is the Word of the Divine that sets us free. This is the Key that opens up the Gate of Heaven, and that lets us enter into the Peace of the Divine and Its Eternity.

2. The Power and Glory of the Holy Encounter

When this Course said, “All Power and Glory are yours because the Realm (of Heaven) is the Divine’s,” this also meant that Divine Will is without limit, and all Power and Glory are within It. It is boundless in Strength and in Love and Peace. It has no boundaries because Its Extension is unlimited, and It encompasses all things that have being because it created all things. By creating all things, It created them as Part of Itself.

You are the Will of the Divine because this is how you were created. Because your Creator creates only like Itself, you are like It. You are Part of That Who is all Power and Glory, and you are therefore as unlimited as It is. To what else except all Power and Glory can the Holy Spirit appeal to restore the Divine’s Realm? Spirit’s Appeal, then, is merely to what the Realm of Heaven is, and for the Divine Children’s own acknowledgment of what they are. When you acknowledge this, you bring the acknowledgment automatically to everyone, because you have acknowledged everyone. By your recognition you awaken the recognition of all your sisters and brothers, and through theirs yours is extended. Awakening runs easily and gladly through the Divine Family in response to the Call of the Divine for the separated ones to return Home. This is the natural Response of every Child of the Divine to the Voice of their Creator, because it is the Voice for Its Creations and for Their own Extension.

Glory be to the Divine in the Highest and to you because the Divine has so willed it. Ask and it shall be given you because it has already been given. Ask for Light and learn that you are Light. If you want Understanding and Enlightenment you will learn Them, because your will to truly learn Them is your decision to listen to the Teacher who knows of Light and can therefore teach It to you. There is no limit on your learning because there is no limit on your mind. There is no limit on Spirit’s Will to Teach because It was created by unlimited Will in order to teach. Knowing Its Function perfectly, Spirit wills to fulfill It perfectly, because that is Its Joy, and yours. To fulfill the Will of the Divine perfectly is the only Joy and Peace that can be fully known, because it is the only function that can be fully experienced. When this is accomplished, then there is no other experience. But the wish for other experience will block this, because the Divine’s Will cannot be forced upon you, being an experience of total Willingness.

The Holy Spirit knows how to teach total Willingness, but you do not. That is why you need the Holy Spirit and why the Divine gave It to you. Only Its Teaching will release your will to the Divine’s, uniting it with Its Power and Glory, and reestablishing Them as yours. You will share Them as the Divine shares Them, because this is the natural Outcome of Their Being. The Will of the Creator and of Its Children are One by Their Extension. Their Extension is the result of Their Oneness, holding Their Unity by extending Their joint Will. This is perfect Creation by the perfectly created in Union with the perfect Creator. The Creator must give Creatorship to Its Children because Its Own Creatorship must be extended Everywhere. You who belong in the Divine have the holy Function of extending Its Creatorship by placing no limits upon It. Let the Holy Spirit teach you how to do this, for you will know of the Divine Itself what it means.

Every time you encounter anyone remember it is a holy encounter. As you perceive them, you will perceive yourself. As you treat them, you will treat yourself. As you think of them, you will think of yourself. Always remember this, for in everyone you encounter you will find yourself or lose sight of yourself. Whenever two Children of the Divine come together they are given another chance at awakening. Do not leave anyone without giving awakening to them and receiving it yourself. For I am always there with you in every holy encounter, in remembrance of you both.

The Goal of the Curriculum of awakening, regardless of the teacher you choose, is know yourself. There is nothing else to learn. Everyone is seeking their Self and the Power and Glory they think they have lost. Whenever you are with anyone, you have another opportunity to find your holy Self and Its Power and Glory. Your Power and Glory are in those you meet because They are yours. The ego tries to find power and glory in yourself apart from your sisters and brothers, because it does not know where to seek. But the Holy Spirit teaches you that if you seek only in yourself, you cannot find yourself because that is not what you are.

Whenever you are with a brother or sister, you are learning what you are, because you are teaching what you are. They will respond either with pain or with joy, depending on which teacher you are following. You will offer, to both of you, the imprisonment of illusions or the Release of Truth, according to your decision of which you want to be true. Always remember your responsibility to them because it is your responsibility to yourself. Give them their Place in the Realm of Heaven through honoring It, and you will have yours. The Realm cannot be found alone, and you who are the Realm cannot find yourselves alone.

To achieve the Goal of Spirit’s Curriculum, then, you cannot listen to the ego. Its purpose is to defeat your only true Goal. It does not know this, because it does not know anything. But you can know this, and you will know it if you are willing to perceive clearly what the ego has attempted to make of you. This is your responsibility, because once you have really done this you will accept the Atonement for yourself, which is your sole responsibility.

What other choice could you make? Once you have made this choice you will begin to learn and understand why you believed that when you encountered your sisters and brothers you thought they were someone else, that is, someone other than your Self. And every holy encounter in which you enter fully will teach you that this is not so. You can encounter only your holy Self, because you are Part of the Divine Who is Everything. Its Power and Glory are Everywhere, and you cannot be excluded from Them. The ego teaches that your strength is in you alone. The Holy Spirit teaches that all Strength is in the Divine and therefore in you and your sisters and brothers.

The Divine wills that no one suffer. This also means It wills that no one suffer for a wrong decision anyone has ever made, including yourself. That is why It has given you the Means for undoing all wrong decisions. Through Its Power and Glory all your wrong decisions are undone completely, releasing you and your sisters and brothers from every imprisoning thought any Part of the Divine Family has accepted. Wrong decisions have no power because they are not true. The imprisonment that they seem to produce is no more true than they are.

Power and Glory belong to the Divine alone, as do you. The Divine gives to all Its Children whatever belongs to It, because It gives of Itself, and Everything belongs to It. Giving of yourself is the Function It gives you. Fulfilling this Function perfectly will teach you what you have received of the Divine. And this will teach you what you are, in the Divine. You must be able to do this because this is your Power. Glory is the Divine’s Gift to you because that is what It is. See this Power and Glory everywhere, to learn what you are.
