Now I am One with That Which is my Source.

What time but now can Truth be recognized? The present is the only time there is. And so today, now, we come to see what is forever there, not in our perception but in the Vision of Divine Essence. Divine Essence sees beyond time and beholds Eternity. It hears the sounds the senseless busy world engenders, yet hears them faintly, for beyond them all It hears the Song of Heaven and the Voice of the Divine nearer, clearer, and more meaningful.

The world fades away easily before Divine Essence’s Sight. The world’s sounds grow dim. A Melody and Harmonies from far beyond the world are increasingly distinct, an ancient Call to which an ancient Response is given. You will recognize them both. For they are just your response to your Creator’s Call to you. Divine Essence answers for you as your holy Self, using your voice to give Its glad Consent, accepting your awakening for you.

How holy is your practicing today, as Divine Essence gives you Its Sight and hears for you, and answers in your name the Call It hears. How quiet is the time you give to spend with It beyond the world. How easily are all your seeming shortcomings and all your sorrows forgotten. On this day is grief laid by, for sights and sounds that come from nearer than the world become clear to you who will today accept the Gifts Divine Essence gives.

There is a Silence into which the world cannot intrude. There is an ancient Peace you carry in your heart and have not lost. There is a sense of holiness in you the thought of imperfection has never touched. All this today you will remember. Faithfulness in practicing today will bring Rewards so great and so completely different from all things you sought before, that you will know that here your Treasure is, and here your Rest.

This is a day when vain imaginings part like a curtain, to reveal what is beyond them. Now what is really present is made clear, while all the shadows that appeared to hide It merely fade away. Now is the Balance righted, and the Scale of Worth left to Spirit, Who evaluates truly. And in Spirit’s Evaluation will a world unfold in perfect Innocence before your beholding. Now will you see it with the Vision of Divine Essence. Now is its Transformation clear to you.

Sisters and brothers, this day is sacred to the world. Your vision, given you from far beyond all things within the world, beholds these things from beyond in a new light. And what you see and hear of Divine Essence and the Voice of the Divine become the healing and awakening of the world. The valuable and valueless are both perceived and recognized for what they are. And what is worthy of your love receives your love, while nothing to be feared remains.

We release ourselves from judgment today. We will receive only what is given us from Evaluation made beyond the world. Our practicing today becomes our gift of thankfulness for our Release from blindness and from misery. All that we see and hear will only increase our Joy, because its holiness reflects our own. We stand forgiven in the Sight of Divine Essence, with all the world forgiven in our own. We bless the world as we see it in the Light in which our Awakener beholds us, and offer it the Freedom given us through Its forgiving Vision, now our own.

Open the curtain in your practicing by merely letting go all things you think you want. Put away your trifling treasures, and leave a clean and open space within your mind where Divine Essence can come and offer you the Treasure of awakening. It has need of your most holy mind to awaken the world. Is not this Purpose worthy to be yours? Is not Divine Essence’s Vision worthy to be sought above the world’s unsatisfying goals?

Let today be embraced with the Gifts it holds for you receiving your consent and your acceptance. You will transform your mind and the world as you acknowledge these Gifts. You may not yet see the value your acceptance gives the world. But this you surely want: you can exchange all suffering for Joy this very day. Practice in earnest and the Gift is yours. Would the Divine deceive you? Can Its Promise fail? Can you withhold so little when Its Hand holds out complete awakening to Its Children?

Chapter 14: Reality and Release

 

5. The Certainty of the Promise of Awakening

When we are all united in the Realm of Heaven, you will value nothing that you value here. For nothing that you value here do you value wholly, and so you do not value it at all. Value is where the Divine placed It, and the Value of what the Divine esteems cannot be judged, for It has been established eternally. Thus It is wholly of Value. You can merely choose to appreciate It or not. To appreciate anything partially is not to know its Value. In the Realm of Heaven is Everything the Divine values, and nothing else. Heaven is perfectly unambiguous. Everything is clear and bright, and calls forth one Response. There is no darkness, and there is no contrast. There is no variation. There is no interruption. There is a sense of Peace so deep that no dream in this world has ever brought even a dim imagining of what It is.

Nothing in this world can give this Peace, for nothing in this world is wholly shared. Perfect perception can merely show you what is capable of being wholly shared. It can also show you the results of true sharing, while you still remember the results of not sharing. The Holy Spirit points quietly to the contrast, knowing that you will finally let It evaluate the difference for you, allowing It to demonstrate which one must be real. Spirit has perfect faith in your final evaluation because It knows that It will complete this with you. To doubt this would be to doubt that Its Mission will be fulfilled. How is this possible, when Its Mission is of the Divine?

You whose mind has been darkened by doubt and guilt, remember this: the Divine gave the Holy Spirit to you, and gave It the Mission to remove all doubt and every trace of guilt that Its dear Children have laid upon themselves. It is impossible that this Mission fail.

Nothing can prevent what the Divine would have accomplished from accomplishment. Whatever your reactions to the Holy Spirit’s Voice may be, whatever voice you choose to listen to, whatever strange thoughts may occur to you, the Divine’s Will is done. You will find the Peace in which It has established you, because It does not change Its Mind. Its Mind is as invariable as the Peace in which you dwell, and of which the Holy Spirit reminds you.

In the Realm of Heaven you will not remember change and shift. You have need of contrast only here. Contrast and differences are necessary teaching aids in this world, for by them you learn what to seek and what to avoid, and ultimately what you wholly want and what you don’t want. When you have learned this, you will find the Answer that makes the need for any differences disappear. Truth comes of Its Own Will, unto Its Own. When you have learned that you belong to Truth, It will flow lightly over you, without contrasts of any kind. For you will need no contrast to help you realize that this is what you want, and only this.

Fear not that the Holy Spirit will fail in what our Creator has given It to do. The Will of the Divine can fail in nothing. Have faith in only this one thing, and it will be sufficient:

 

The Divine Wills you be in Heaven, and nothing can keep you from It, or It from you. Your weirdest misperceptions, your wildest imaginings, your darkest nightmares all mean nothing in Reality. They will not prevail against the Peace that the Divine wills for you. The Holy Spirit will restore your Sanity, because unreality and insanity are not the Will of the Divine.

 

If this knowing suffices Spirit, then it is enough for you. You will not want or be able to keep what the Divine would have removed, because keeping it breaks Its Communication with you, with whom It would communicate.

The Divine’s Voice will be heard. The Communication Link that the Divine Itself placed within you, eternally joining your mind with Its, cannot be broken. You may believe you want It broken, and this belief does interfere with the deep Peace in which the sweet and constant Communication that the Divine would share with you is known. Yet Its Channels of reaching out cannot be entirely closed, or separated from It. The Divine’s Peace will be yours because It still flows to you, from It Whose Will is Peace. You have It now. The Holy Spirit will teach you how to access and use It, and by extending It, to learn that It is in you.

The Divine wills you Heaven, and will always will you only that. The Holy Spirit knows only of the Divine’s Will. There is no chance that Heaven will not be yours, for the Divine is sure, and what It wills is as sure as It is. You will learn awakening, because you will learn how to awaken by teaching or demonstrating what you learn. It will not be possible to exempt yourself from what the Holy Spirit wills to teach you. Awakening is as sure as the Divine. Its Certainty suffices. Learn that even the darkest nightmare that disturbed the mind of the Divine’s sleeping Children holds no power over them. The Children of the Divine will learn the lesson of awakening from all dreams. The Divine watches over them, and Light surrounds them.

Can the Divine’s Children lose themselves in dreams when the Divine has placed within them the glad Call to awaken, and to be glad? They cannot separate themselves from what is in them. Their sleep will not withstand the Call to awaken. The Mission of awakening and redemption will be fulfilled, as surely as the Creation will remain unchanged throughout Eternity. You do not have to know that Heaven is yours to make It so. It is so. But the Will of the Divine must be accepted as your will in order to know that Heaven is yours.

The Holy Spirit cannot fail to undo for you everything that you have learned that teaches you that what is not true must be reconciled with Truth. This is the reconciliation that the ego would substitute for your Reconciliation unto Sanity and Peace. The Holy Spirit has a very different kind of Reconciliation in Its mind for you, and one that It will effect as surely as the ego will not effect what it attempts.

Failure is of the ego – which is itself simply the faulty formulation of Reality – not of the Divine. From the Divine you cannot wander, and there is no possibility that the Plan the Holy Spirit offers to everyone, for the awakening of everyone, will not be perfectly accomplished. And then time will be complete and no more. You will be released, and you will not remember anything you made that was not created for you, and by you in return. For how can you remember what was never true, or fail to remember what has always been? It is this Reconciliation with Truth, and only Truth, in which the Peace of Heaven is.
