I thank our Creator for Its Gifts to us.

Today let us be thankful. We have come to gentler pathways and to smoother roads. There is no thought of turning back, and no implacable resistance to the Truth. A bit of wavering may remain, perhaps some small objections and a little hesitance, but we can well be grateful for your gains, which are far greater than you may realize. A day devoted now to gratitude will add the benefit of some insight into the real extent of all the gains that you have made and the Gifts you have received.

Be glad today in loving thankfulness that your Creator has not left you to yourself, nor let you wander in the dark alone and without Hope. Be grateful It has awakened you from the self you thought you made to take the place of It and Its perfect Creation, your holy Self. Give It thanks today. Give thanks that It is unfailingly faithful to you, and that Its Love forever will remain shining on you, forever without change. Give thanks as well that you are changeless, for the Children It created and loves are changeless as Itself.

Be grateful that you are awakening. Be glad you have a function in awakening to fulfill. Be thankful that your Place in Creation far transcends what may yet seem as meager gifts and petty judgments of those the Divine established as Its Children.

Today with gratitude we lift our hearts above despair, and raise our thankful eyes, no longer looking downward to the dust. We sing the Song of Thankfulness today in honor of the holy Self Which the Divine has willed to be our true Identity in It and in Eternity. Today we smile on everyone we see, and walk with lightened footsteps as we go to do what is appointed us to do. We go with mighty Companions.

And we give thanks that in what we thought was our solitude a Friend has come to speak the awakening Word of the Divine to us. And thanks to you for listening to It. Its Word is soundless if It be not heard. In thanking It, the thanks are yours as well. An unheard message will not awaken the world, however mighty be the Voice that speaks, however loving the message may be. Thanks be to you who have heard and responded, for you have become the Messengers who bring Its Voice with you, and let It echo round and round the world.

Receive the Thanks of the Divine today, as you give thanks to It. For It would offer you the thanks you give, since It receives your gifts with loving Gratitude, and gives them back a thousand and a hundred thousand more than they were given. It will bless your gifts by sharing them with you. And so they grow in Power and in Strength until they fill the world with Gladness and with Gratitude.

Receive the Divine’s Thanks and offer yours to It for fifteen minutes twice today. And you will realize to Whom you offer thanks, and whom It thanks as you are thanking It. This holy half an hour given It will be returned to you in terms of years saved in senseless wandering for every second offered, with Power to awaken the world eons more quickly through your thanks to It.

Receive Its Thanks, and you will understand how lovingly It holds you in Its Mind, how deep and limitless Its Care for you, how perfect is Its Gratitude to you.

Remember hourly to think of our Creator, and give It thanks for Everything It gives Its Children, that they might rise above the world remembering their Creator and their Self.

Chapter 9: The Plan of Atonement

 

7. Acceptance and Cocreation

How can you become increasingly aware of the Holy Spirit in you except by Its Effects? You cannot see Spirit with your eyes, nor hear It with your ears. How, then, can you perceive It at all? If you inspire Joy, and others respond to you with Joy, even though you may not be experiencing Joy yourself in the moment, there must be something in you that is capable of producing It. If Spirit is in you, and can produce Joy, and if you perceive that It does produce Joy in others, but are not experiencing this Joy yourself, then you must be dissociating from the Joy in yourself.

Because you do not consistently inspire Joy in others, it seems to you that the Holy Spirit does not produce Joy consistently in you. Your experience of your sisters and brothers’ reactions to you merely reflects your assessments of Spirit’s Consistency. When you are inconsistent you will not always give rise to Joy, and so you will not always recognize Spirit’s Consistency. What you offer to your sisters and brothers you offer to Spirit, because It cannot go beyond your offering in Its Giving. This is not because It limits Its Giving, but simply because you have limited your receiving.

The will to receive is the will to accept. If your sisters and brothers are part of you, do you accept them? Only they can teach you what you are, and your learning is the result of what you teach them. What you call upon in them, you call upon in yourself. And as you call upon it in them, it becomes real to you. The Divine has only one Family, knowing all Its Children as One. Only the Divine Itself is more than they, but they are not less than the Divine is. Would you know what this means? If what you do to our sisters and brothers you do to me, and if you do everything for yourself because we are part of you, then everything we do belongs to you as well. Every spirit the Divine created is part of you, and shares the Divine’s Glory with you. Its Glory belongs to It, but is equally yours. You cannot, then, be less glorious than the Divine is. The Divine is more than you only because It created you, but not even this would It keep from you. Therefore, you can create like It does, and your dissociation will not alter this. Neither the Divine’s Light nor yours is dimmed because you do not currently see.

Because the Divine Family must create as One, you remember all of Creation whenever you recognize Part of Creation. Each Part you remember adds to your Wholeness, because each Part is whole. Wholeness is indivisible, but you cannot know your Wholeness until you see It everywhere. You can know yourself only as the Divine knows Its Children, for Knowledge is shared with the Divine. When you awaken in It, you will know your Magnitude by accepting Its Limitlessness as yours. But until then you will assess It as you assess your sisters and brothers’ Magnitude, and will accept It as you accept theirs.

You are not yet awakened from the dream of this world, but you are learning how to awaken. Very simply the Holy Spirit teaches you to awaken others. As you see them awaken, you will learn what awakening means. And because you have willed to awaken them, their gratitude and their appreciation of what you have given them will teach you its Value. They will become the Witnesses to your reality, as you both were created Witnesses to the Divine’s. And when the Divine Family comes together and accepts Its Oneness, this Family will be known by Its creations, which witness to Its Reality, as the Child does to the Creator.

Miracles have no place in Eternity because they are reparative in time. But while you still need healing, your miracles are the only Witnesses to your reality that you can recognize. Because miracles are a way of giving acceptance and receiving it, you cannot perform a miracle for yourself alone as the direct recipient. In the realm of time the giving comes first, though giving and receiving are simultaneous in Eternity, where they cannot be separated. When you have learned that giving and receiving are the same, the need for time is over.

Eternity is one time, Its only Dimension being “always.” But this cannot mean anything to you until you remember the Divine’s Open Heart and Arms, and finally know Its Open Mind. Like the Divine you are eternal, in Its Mind and with a mind like Its. In your open mind are your creations, with perfect Communication born of perfect Understanding. When you accept even one of them, you will not want anything the world has to offer, for anything other than the Divine and Its Creations and Their creations is totally meaningless.

The Divine’s Meaning is incomplete without you, and you are incomplete without your creations. Accept your sisters and brothers in this world, and accept nothing else, for in them you will find your creations, because they created them with you. You will know that you are Cocreator with the Divine when you learn that your sisters and brothers are cocreators with you.
