Chapter 8: The Journey Home

5. The Divine’s Treasure

Forget not the Realm of Heaven for anything the world has to offer. The world can add nothing to the Power and the Glory of the Divine and Its holy Children, but it can block the Children’s awareness of their Creator if they look upon it. You cannot look upon the world of illusions and know the Divine, because only one is true. I am come to remind you that the choice of which is true is not yours to decide. If it were, the separated ones would have destroyed themselves. But the Divine did not will the destruction of Its Creations, having created them for Eternity. Its Will has saved you, not from yourself but from your illusions of yourself. It has saved you for yourself. Let us glorify That Which the world denies, for over Its Realm the world has no power.

Every creation created by the Divine can find Joy only in the Eternal. That is not because they are deprived of anything else, but because nothing else is worthy of them. What the Divine and Its Children create is eternal, and in this and this only is their Joy. Recall the story of the prodigal son, and learn what the Divine’s Treasure and yours is. This child of a loving family left his home and thought he squandered everything for something that had no value, though he did not know its worthlessness at the time. He was ashamed to return to his family because he thought he had hurt them. But when he came home his father welcomed him with joy, because the son himself was his father’s treasure. The father wanted nothing else.

The Divine wants only Its Children, because Its Children are Its only Treasure. You want your creations, as the Creator wants Its. Your creations are your gift to the Holy Trinity, created with perfect Gratitude for your creation by your Creator. They do not leave you, any more than you have left your Creator. But they extend your creation, as the Divine extended Itself to you. Can the Children of the Divine Itself find Joy in what is not real? And what is real except the Creations of the Divine and those creations that are created like Its? Your creations love you as your spirit loves your Creator for the Gift of Creation. There is no other gift that is eternal, and therefore there is no other gift that is true.

How, then, can you accept anything else, or give anything else, and expect Peace and Joy in return? And what else but Peace and Joy would you want? You created neither yourself nor your Function. You have merely made the wrong decision to feel yourself unworthy of both. But you could not actually make yourself unworthy because you are the Treasure of the Divine. What It values is Valuable. There can be no question of Its Worth, because Its Value is in the Divine’s sharing Itself with It and establishing Its Value forever. Your Function in Heaven is to add to the Divine’s Treasure by creating yours. The Divine’s Will to you – your Function to create – is Its Will for you. It would not withhold Creation from you, because Its Joy is in It.

You can only find Joy as the Divine does. Its Joy rests in creating Its Creations – Its Children – and It extends Its Creatorship to you so that you can extend yourself as It has. You do not currently understand this because you do not understand the Divine. No one who does not remember their Function can understand It. And no one can remember their Function unless they know who they are.

Creation is the Will of the Divine. Its Will created you to create. Your will was not created separate from Its, and so it wills as its Creator wills. An “unwilling will” does not mean anything, because it is a contradiction in terms that actually leaves nothing. You can make yourself powerless only in a way that has no meaning at all. When you think that you are unwilling to will with the Divine, you are not actually thinking at all. The Divine’s Will is true Thought. It cannot be contradicted by thought. The Divine does not contradict Itself. And Its Children, who are like It, cannot contradict themselves or their Creator. But their thought is so powerful that they can even temporarily imprison the mind of the Divine Child if they so choose. This choice does make the Child’s Function unknown to them, but never to their Creator. And because this Function is known to their Creator, It is forever knowable to Its Children.

There is only one question you should ever ask of yourself:

“Do I want to know my Creator’s Will for me?”

The Creator will not hide Its Will. It has revealed It to me because I asked It of It, and learned of what It had already given. Our Function is to function, or will, together, because apart from each other we cannot function at all. The whole Power of the Divine Family is in all of us, but not in any of us alone. The Divine would not have us be alone because It does not will to be alone. That is why It created Its Children and gave them the Power to create with It.

Our creations are as holy as we are, and we are the Children of the Divine Itself, and therefore as holy as It is. Through our creations we extend our Love, and thus increase the Joy of the Holy Trinity. You do not currently understand this for a very simple reason: You who are the Divine’s Own Treasure do not yet regard your Value in the Divine Family as inestimable. Given this belief, you are currently unable to truly understand anything.

I share the Divine’s Knowledge of the Value It puts upon you. My devotion to you is of the Divine, being born of my knowing of myself and It. We cannot be separated, because whom the Divine has joined cannot be apart, and the Divine has joined all Its Children with Itself. Is it possible that you could be separated or apart from your Life and your Being?

The Journey to the Divine is merely the reawakening of the Knowledge of where you are always and what you are forever. It is a Journey without distance to a goal that has never changed.

Truth can only be experienced. It cannot be described and It cannot be explained. I can make you aware of the Conditions of Truth, but the Experience is of the Divine. Together we can meet Truth’s Conditions, but Truth will dawn upon you of Itself. What the Divine has willed for you is yours. The Divine has given Its Will to Its Treasure, whose Treasure It is. Your heart is where your treasure is, as is the Divine’s. You who are beloved of the Divine are wholly blessed. Learn this of me, and free the holy will of all those who are as blessed as you are.
