10. What Is the Resurrection?
Very simply, the Resurrection is the overcoming or surmounting of death. It is rebirth, a transformation of mind about the meaning of the world. It is the end of dreams of misery and the glad fulfillment of the Holy Spirit’s final happy Dream. It is the dream in which the body functions perfectly, having no function except true communication. It is the Recognition of the Gifts of the Divine. It is the Lesson in which all learning ends, for learning is consummated and surpassed with this. It is the complete acceptance of the Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of the world’s Purpose, and the awakening from all illusions. It is the Final Evaluation of all creative activity here, and the completion of our Part in the Plan of Atonement. It is the invitation to the Divine to take Its Final Step in the Return of Its Child to the Realm of Heaven. It is the relinquishment of all other purposes, all other interests, all other wishes, and all other concerns. It is the single Desire of the Divine Children for their Creator and their Home in Heaven.
The Resurrection is the denial of death, being the Assertion of Life. Thus is all the thinking of the world reversed entirely. Awakening is now recognized as the sole purpose of life in this world, and pain and misery of any kind are thus perceived as the illusion of separation. Love is no longer feared but gladly welcomed. Idols have disappeared, and the Remembrance of the Divine shines unimpeded across the world. Divine Essence’s Reflection is seen in every living thing, and nothing is held in darkness, apart from the Light of forgiveness. There is no sorrow still upon the Earth. The Joy of Heaven has come upon it. The Great Rays have been fully embraced, and have illuminated every part of our Being.
Here our curriculum ends. From here on no specific instructions are needed. Perception is wholly corrected and all mistakes undone. Fear is meaningless and Joy has fully come. The Goal of awakening’s curriculum has been achieved. Thoughts are wholly in Heaven, released from the nightmare of hell. All longings are satisfied, for what remains unanswered or incomplete? The last illusion – the happy dream of forgiveness – spreads over the world, forgiving all things and replacing all conflict with Peace. The split mind is healed, and the whole reversal of the separation and its projection as the world of illusions is accomplished. Nothing is left to contradict the Divine’s Word of Truth and Love. There is complete acceptance of the Truth and welcoming of Love, so These are totally Present in awareness at last. How quickly They come as They are invited to envelop such a world!
All living hearts are tranquil, with a stir of deep Anticipation, for the Time of Everlasting Things is now at hand. There is only Life and no death in Truth. The Children of the Divine are free, and in their Freedom is the Divine Family whole again. All things are seen in Light, and in the Light their purpose is transformed and understood. And we, the Divine’s Children, rise up from the dust and behold our perfect Innocence. The Song of Heaven sounds around the world, as the world is lifted up and translated from perception into Knowledge.
Now there are no distinctions. Differences have disappeared, and Love beholds and knows Itself. What further sight is needed? What remains that Vision could accomplish? We have seen the Face of Divine Essence, Its Innocence, Its Love behind all forms and beyond all purposes. Holy are we because Its Holiness has set us free indeed! And we accept Its Holiness as ours, as It is. As the Divine created us so will we be forever and forever, and we wish for nothing but Its Will to be our own. Illusions of another will are gone forever, for Unity of Purpose has been found and realized.
These things await us all, but not all are prepared as yet to welcome them with Joy. As long as any mind remains possessed of dark dreams, the nightmare of separation and of hell will seem real. The Divine’s Teachers have the goal of releasing their minds from all dark dreams, helping prepare all minds to behold Divine Essence’s Reflection in all things. Thus will the Resurrection be welcomed, as together we journey to our Creator, the Divine.
